Join us as Head of Distribution, Personal Banking, Ulster Bank Ireland DAC

  • Take on a high profile role, where you’ll be taking charge of your function’s successes and achievements
  • Reporting into our Managing Director of Personal Banking in RoI, you’ll lead our new Distribution team, delivering great customer outcomes by leading customer facing activity including our branches, Private Banking, Financial Planning and Telephony
  • You’ll deliver our Distribution strategy and operating model, further improving the delivery of our services to customers in a safe, simple and smart way

What you’ll do

As Head of Distribution, you’ll take ownership of customer facing activity across multiple channels and lead your function to success with strong people and resource management. You’ll maintain a focus on optimising capacity, reducing costs and increasing productivity while reducing operational losses and operational errors. We’ll also look to you to maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging and influencing them to drive innovation.

You’ll also be:

  • Managing risk, developing and delivering continuous improvement and driving the strategic direction of the function
  • Defining performance indicators, measurements and the reporting of critical MI to enable the right decision making
  • Overseeing KPIs and taking actions to make sure that the function maintains healthy matrices and customer satisfaction ratings
  • Driving financial targets and efficiency gains through process improvement initiatives

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to successful engage and motivate teams to success. Alongside this, you’ll have a solid understanding of people processes and policies.

You’ll have a comprehensive understanding and successful experience of leading large, multi-disciplinary customer facing teams, preferably including branch banking.

You’ll also need:

  • The ability to influence other senior executives and external stakeholders
  • Successful experience of developing the strategy for a customer facing business unit as a member of a senior leadership team
  • A thorough understanding of product, processes and relevant banking systems, including the regulatory environment in which we operate
  • A background of working with risk and compliance
