Reporting to Ryan Rummery (Commercial Digital Director) with a dotted line into Nigel Clarkson (Director of Commercial – Outdoor Executives)

Overall Purpose

A digital specialist sales management role responsible for programmatic revenue generation across Global’s new outdoor platform. This role requires a high standard of digital experience to lead the team that will establish an offering that is viewed with c redibility across the digital industry as both a standalone product and as part of a wider multi-platform DAX solution. The role will support the Commercial Digital Director in leading the launch of the new outdoor offering.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building a market leading sales team to unlock programmatic revenues to achieve and exceed annual sales targets
  • Managing a team of digital media managers and leading them in establishing a high profile and new product in the digital market
  • Maintaining a high profile within agency digital departments, overseeing the management of strategic partnership opportunities
  • Successfully develop and execute Global’s UK programmatic outdoor strategy in market
  • Working closely with the agency business hubs to ensure that digital plays a role in major client pitches
  • Ownership of annual revenue budgeting, weekly forecasting and day to day revenue management
  • Ongoing leadership of the programmatic agenda internally, aligning with key stakeholders and making clear recommendations as to how the programmatic business needs to evolve
  • Provide clients with insight into key programmatic market trends and developments, deliver key messages face to face, events, panels and client roadshows
  • The ability to work with and influence a wide range of internal stakeholders often demystifying programmatic for more generalist colleagues
  • Working closely to with the Outdoor, Head of Commercial partnerships to support the development and growth of our DAX supply network

You’ll have these skills and experience:

  • Demonstrate a consistent record of building a successful sales team, delivering revenues & creating long lasting relationships across media agencies and clients
  • They have a wider perspective on the role digital plays in Global’s business objectives while having the gravitas, expertise and conviction to put a new team and a new product at the forefront of the digital marketplace
  • Significant experience working in digital advertising including management of programmatic revenues
  • Attention to detail, delivering accurate revenue reporting and forecasting
  • Influential agency & trading desk relationships with a track record of success
  • Strong presenting skills, can confidently deliver presentations to large audiences and senior/c-suite management
  • Strong communicator, has the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders to explain complex technical elements of programmatic to non-technical audience
  • An ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders collaborative working style with high level of commercial acumen
  • An appreciation of the role Outdoor can play in the communication of advertisers’ messaging
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-moving, changing environment
  • A wide network of contacts across the programmatic market, specifically trading desks, programmatic buying teams and demand side platforms
