Our charity shop set in the heart of Bexhill is raising money for our Autism, Learning Disabilities and Disabilities services across Sussex and Kent. We support Adults and Children in both residential and supported living services along with their families and the wider community.

We are looking for a dynamic manager who has experience in retail, ideally in the charities sector who can recruit and manage both staff and volunteers. The role comes with responsibility for all of the daily running of the shop including stock control, appraising collectables, cashing up, key holding, opening and closing and much more.

Charity Shop Manager Hours: 

9am – 5pm Monday – Saturday (5 days out of 6 to include every other Saturday and occasional Sundays)

35 Hours per week contract.

Charity Shop Manager Requirements

  • Must have Retail Experience

  • Able to work to KPI/Targets

  • Experience in the Charity Sector an advantage

  • Experience of working with Volunteers an advantage

  • Experience of Gift Aid an advantage

  • Will ideally have a general knowledge of Antiques and Collectables.

  • Positive ‘can-do’ Attitude 

  • Friendly, Positive, Calm and Helpful

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Good Sense of Humour

  • Team worker

  • Flexible and Trustworthy

  • Good at listening

  • Willing to learn
