Our client a prominent Hotel and Hospitality group are looking for a senior Hospitality person to manage and drive the growth within one of their Hotels.


POSITION TITLE: Venue Senior Manager

REPORTS TO: Head of Operations / Area General Manager / Owner


Hands role, the Senior Venue Manager is expected to ensure presence when venue is busy and as such will work most weekend.

The Venue manager is responsible for all aspects of operations of the Restaurant and the hotel, to day-to-day staff management and guests.

He / She should be an ambassador for the Venue. Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. Work Very closely with the hotel owners and other stake holders.

Responsible for managing the Hotels management team (HOD’s) and overall Restaurant & hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience.

The Senior Venue Manager would also be required to manage between profitability and guest satisfaction measures.


  • Proactive Hotel Sales experience in a target driven sales environment, with main focus on weddings, corporate meetings and promoting a la carte restaurant awareness in the venue primary zone.

  • Business plan to drive and Maximises F&B revenue. Also oversee the operations functions of the hotel, as per the Organizational chart.
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
  • Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the property.

                With a special focus on

      • Driving Maximum F&B revenue though events and a la carte restaurant.
      • Controlling costs.
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
  • Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly
  • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, on target and accurate.
  • Write Monthly Management letter to comment on actual performance and action plan for upcoming months
  • Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.



The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly intelligent Restaurant professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Must have Banqueting and Restaurant experience and be able to Manage Head Chef and Accommodation. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.


At least 10 years’ experience in the hospitality industry

Preferably a university degree in hotel management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel with clear track record. Excellent computer system skills.
