The role of Head of Group Marketing is a newly created role and will take responsibility for optimising promotion, communication and interaction with our consumers primarily in the UK, but with an international marketing remit through our distributors. This will include all points of contact On-line (Web Site, Social Media etc), in our Vampire Stores and with shoppers in our customers’ outlets. The Head of Group Marketing will ultimately be the “guardian” of our brands, ensuring that the products resonate with current and potential customers and support our vision of being the “world’s most trusted vaping brand”. The role will also develop brand profiles and positioning with fresh insight to ensure consistency across advertising campaigns and consumer communications in the UK and internationally. Further, the role will also encompass corporate marketing and positioning as a key employer in the industry.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Head of Group Marketing will identify future product opportunities in existing and new, complementary categories and lead a team of direct reports including Head of E:Commerce, Marketing Assistants, Graphic/Web Designers and Developers.
The Role & Responsibilities • Develop, own and manage the Flavour Warehouse (and brands) Marketing Strategy covering the immediate and longer term horizons. • Oversee sales growth and on-line positioning of our brands (within the various e:commerce channels (Vampire Vape, Base, Pure Earth and Operation Vape) with the Head of E:Commerce • Ensure the Marketing Plans are aligned with CEO/CCO and Sales Director • Create formal brand positionings and profiles for all key brands including the corporate brand, Flavour Warehouse. • Develop brand strategies and marketing campaigns across print, broadcast and on-line, both paid for advertising and PR generation. • Supervision of advertising, product design and other forms of marketing to maintain consistency of communication, meet consumer expectations and build the credibility of brands. • Analysing the success of marketing campaign/activities and reporting with conclusions, key learnings and recommendations. • Manage and allocate an annual marketing investment budget delivering efficiency and effectiveness of spend (RoI) • Management of NPD programmes. • Supervision of Exhibitions, Launch Events and Advertising Shoots through the team resource • Identifying, recommending and interrogating key market research to support the positioning and promotion of brands (current and future opportunities) Experience, Skills and Qualifications • Ideally a Marketing or Business Studies graduate with several years experience. • FMCG Marketing training or experience of hands on brand management in Vaping, Tobacco or Health, Beauty & Cosmetics markets. • E:commerce and on-line marketing familiarity/expertise. • Motivated self starter with the ability to take ownership, drive and defend the positioning of market leading, NPD and challenger brands. • Understanding of trends and ability to respond to consumers’ needs. • Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas. • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively from CEO through to junior members of sales and marketing teams. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to both lead and work effectively in multiple project teams. • Willingness to both “roll the sleeves up” to get things done, but also lead forward thinking, innovative projects.
