About the Department

The Saxenda® brand team is part of Obesity Commercial Unit in Novo Nordisk, and right now we are in search of a Associate Global Marketing Director for our team, to fully realize the potential of Saxenda® brand.

In the team, you will get seven close colleagues, but you should expect to be working with a range of different stakeholders both within and outside of a truly global organization on a daily basis. We define and drive strategic projects opening up new markets, and play a critical role in the on-going brand definition of a well-proven quality product.

The job

In this position you will help expand the reach of Saxenda® to new relevant patient and customer groups, and prepare the brand for the next key steps of its lifecycle.

As an Associate Global Marketing Director, your primary role will be to define and lead the execution of the global brand strategy throughout its lifecycle. You will be responsible for strategic commercial projects, support new market launches, and provide commercial input to label negotiations.

You will be accountable for insight-based marketing deliverables, robust budget plans, and excellent stakeholder management. Of course, we expect your collaboration with key affiliates to be outstanding, as your actions may have a large impact on brand opportunities.

You will be required to provide senior management with data, facts and market interpretations and give your input on project management decisions, including on cross-brands strategic issues. Thus, we expect you to quickly gain a thorough understanding of how the Novo Nordisk product portfolio is balanced in the market.

Finally, you will coach members of the brand team on their respective projects, offering your insights on marketing approaches, market analysis, brand definition and much more.

The position gives you an opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally in a growing unit, and with key regions and affiliates, to develop strategies and tools that can make a real impact on people living with obesity and our business results.

You should expect up to 40 travel days a year.

Qualifications

You hold at least a Master’s degree in any related field – from the hard sciences to the art of marketeering – and your results demonstrate a solid business understanding. Furthermore, you have 8 or more years of pharmaceutical/consumer marketing experience, and you have demonstrated an ability to succeed within a global context and environment.

You have expertise at unravelling insights, shaping brands that resonate with customers/consumers, developing commercial strategies that get implemented, and managing complex projects.

You thrive in a busy environment, you bring a strong collaborative and inclusive mindset, and you have the courage to challenge conventional thinking.

To do the job well, you will need a strong command of English language both verbal and written.
