Operations is responsible for correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating operational risk, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and Automation. The Operations Senior Management team are passionate about our people development and providing best in class employee opportunities through an inclusive, forward-looking environment defined by open communication, collaboration, learning, and proactive career management.Primary ResponsibilitiesThis role is for a VP in Operations Frankfurt. This person performs management support to the Head of Frankfurt Operations covering supervisory checks, management reporting, staff management, strategic input for local and global projects, regulatory reporting monitoring, audit management, interface and contact point for internal and external queries. This person will represent Operations as a deputy to the Head of Operations and will have responsibilities to senior local stakeholders. Stakeholder management and networking are key and fluency in German is desired.

Skills Required- Educated to a degree or equivalent academic level- Language skills; fluent in written & spoken English is required- Language skills; fluent in written & spoken German is preferred- Significant related industry experience- Experience of working in one or more of the following Operational processes is required – Securities Settlements, Cash Management, or Cash Settlements,- Strong confident communicator (written and oral)- Knowledge of operational functions and processes of a broker dealer- Cross product knowledge- Focus on risk and displays the ability to react quickly to issues and see them through to conclusion- A change agent; always challenging the status quo- Strong stakeholder management skills- Sound interpersonal skills, freely develops networks, builds consensus and develops alliances across the organization- Ability to work in a fast paced environment- Ability to meet tight deadlines and has a delivery focused approach- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality output- Attention to detail and accuracy- Highly motivated self-starter with multi-tasking abilities; ability to prioritize appropriately-Entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility- Desire to work in an environment strong in teamwork, commitment and excellenceMorgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
