Job Summary:
The Vice President, EMEIA Sales is a key member of the company’s leadership team, responsible for all sales/commercial initiatives for the Octave Group business’, including sales leadership, sales training, executing the go-to-market strategy, and implementing scalable sales processes. In tandem working collaboratively with other members of OG globally to ensure success in the EMEIA marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Managing Director, EMEIA and other senior executives to participate in setting overall company strategies and objectives to facilitate the achievement of organisational mission and values
  • Develop sales strategies and plans for the business media systems market, that ensures the attainment of company sales goals and profitability targets
  • Identify sales opportunities and determine viability of entering new markets for both BGM & Juke
  • Identify areas for organic growth, including product development and/or product launches, working closely with the product and technology teams.
  • Implement sales strategies to drive revenue and ultimately business growth across core, partner and systems deals.
  • Carry out risk assessment when taking on new customer accounts and negotiating ongoing contracts with suppliers and customers. Also, knowledge in reviewing contracts and making recommendations on commerciality.
  • Have an eye for interpreting market trends and adapting to industry changes for various market verticals.
  • Create and execute innovative route-to-market strategy to ensure successful launch and growth of new products
  • Work closely with the local EMEIA marketing lead to develop and establish key initiatives to drive market awareness. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
  • Work closely with the Chief Technology Officer to ensure that market and field requirements for new and existing products are consistently considered when resources are being assigned
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of operations to evaluate status of the company objectives, resources, and to determine areas of cost reduction and improvements to sales policy changes
  • Hire, train, develop and lead a high-performing sales team. Create the ideal sales team and structure. Implement effective incentive plans, coach the team on strategic selling and maximise sales productivity
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting for EMEIA sales and sales expenses
Skills and Experience Required
  • Relevant BA/BSc degree
  • Significant proven and demonstrable relevant sales leadership experience for a B2B technology, digital media, or services business, including leading multi-layered sales organisation.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience setting sales strategy and scaling revenue in a high-growth organization; ideal candidate has built and led businesses in scaling to $350+ million revenue run rate.
  • Experience working with brick and mortar retailers a plus but not an absolute necessity.
  • Deep expertise in setting up and implementing sales training, scalable process and effective use of Salesforce.com.
  • Strong leadership skills; must be a coach, mentor and team builder, as well as possess the proven ability to inspire, motivate, and generate passion across the company for consistent achievement of business objectives. Significant and demonstrable track record of developing senior level client relationships
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels; experience with a specific sales methodology/sales cycle management
  • High level of accountability and emphasis on execution with commitment to winning and exceeding revenue goals and KPIs
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing environment, while also operating within a larger operation
  • Strong executive presence well-informed, thoughtful recommendations and deliver clear, concise written presentations/documents
  • High integrity and professional work ethics
  • Exceptional at internal relationship-building; ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with multiple teams inside Octave Group.
  • Experience working EMEIA & ANZ and understanding the geographical business particulars.
