JOIN.COM is looking for a Chief Technical Officer, to play a pivotal role in the upscaling of a high-growth HR-tech product, that has already gained traction with more than 5000 clients.

As JOINs CTO, you’re daring to lead and set the Engineering spirit while addressing the challenges of growing the team from now 12 to above 20 developers, and adapting their processes to a new reality. You’re someone who is not afraid to make decisions, and who is comfortable balancing the ongoing tradeoffs between full speed and long-term productivity.

Your responsibilities:
Lead Technical Development

  • You set the tech strategy, driving the development goals and roadmap, and defining the processes needed to execute against them
  • You are eager to dive deep into the details and objectives of the business, and to excite your team to deliver measurable results
  • You are able to evaluate code and tests, holding the team accountable for addressing strategic objectives rather than coding for pure technical gratification
  • You are willing to roll up your sleeves and get into the code when help is needed to meet important milestones
  • You create and maintain a solid culture of managing projects with reliable estimates and strong alignment with the senior management team

Grow and Develop Team

  • You’re keen on growth, and are responsible for scaling, training and driving a highly motivated Engineering team
  • You establish and sustain a high-performing engineering culture, built on speed, agility, and effectiveness
  • You relentlessly address constraints in the team, and propel their productivity with positive assertiveness
  • You can work side by side with talented and driven members across the organization

Your profile:

  • You have already gained experience in an early-stage startup, and have accompanied their transformation into a full-fledged growth business, either as a CTO or someone closely involved in the technical leadership
  • You have experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies, and know how to balance their ideals with the realities of startup survival
  • You are a communicator with great interpersonal skills, who can understand and manage a team easily and effectively

Technical Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of programming experience, and solid JS-Stack expertise (Node, React, TypeScript)
  • Experience with database design and operation (Postgres, Redis, etc), with a proven knowledge of cloud technologies (gcloud, AWS)
  • Built or worked on products with a significant amount of users
  • Experience with MicroServices architecture
  • Experience building REST APIs
  • Knowledge of continuous integration processes (CI/CD)
