British Red Cross Local Volunteer County President
Could you use your skills, expertise and contacts to help us raise awareness of our work and funds to support people in crisis?
We are looking for someone who is well connected within their local community, with a passion for helping others, to join us as a local President to act as an ambassador and advocate in their county.
In this role, you will work in partnership with any Vice President/s you may wish to appoint to support you in your role, as well as fundraising, operational, and communication staff to promote the British Red Cross to potential donors, supporters and people of influence.
This is a real chance to utilise your personal network and play a leading role in promoting the organisation to develop relationships with prominent people, media and business communities in helping us to spread our message and support people in crisis.

You’re a ‘people’ person – you’ve got great interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills and you’re looking to use these to help spread our message and support people in crisis.
You care about our cause – you understand local issues and the need for British Red Cross services, coupled with an appreciation of the wider picture.
You’re energetic, enthusiastic and approachable – you’re the ideal person to act as an ambassador for us and be the ‘face’ of the British Red Cross in your county and amongst your local community.

We will provide a local and national orientation to the British Red Cross and wider Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend a series of events including the annual Presidents’ and Vice Presidents’ Summit, as well as the chance to get involved with influential members of the local community, working with a variety of people from different walks of life in the world’s largest humanitarian organisation.

The initial commitment we ask for is a minimum 3 year term in the office
