Vacancy: Customer Marketing Manager

Office Depot Europe has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Marketing Manager to join our European headquarters in Venlo, the Netherlands. The role is a fulltime, permanent positionoffering an excellent salary and benefits package.

Your role as a Customer Marketing Manager
You’ll develop, structure and plan marketing acquisition campaigns & programs. You will ensure delivering of these campaigns by briefing and instructing all involved stakeholders and responsible departments, in line with approved business and marketing strategy.

In a cross functional team you ensure that agreed monthly and quarterly goals are met. You own the overall customer base and manage customer life-cycles

  • Develop a marketing acquisition plan incl. definition of target groups, marketing channels and content
  • Design and implement data-driven marketing campaigns to acquire new customers and to activate existing customers (remove) via our touchpoints
  • Monitor, analyze, report and further develop our customer marketing campaigns
  • Align ADEX investments with marketing planning & performance channels
  • Proactively recommending opportunities to improve customer experience and drive customer value, based on insight / data and gaining buy-in to plans from relevant stakeholders
  • Own and create all activities for specific customer groups and lifecycle stages including selections
  • Work with external Data provider to enrich customer data for improved targeting and to build customer group specific contact plans across all touchpoints
  • Measures on KPI’s related to new and re-activated customers, activity, churn, loyalty and SOW, and formulate strategies to grow these metrics
  • Work with the wider Marketing team to deliver consistency of messages across all communication
  • Prepare and present campaign results

What do you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor and/or Master educational level preferable in the area of (digital / online) marketing with at least 5 years of relevant marketing experience 
  • Relevant experience of at least 2 years with Implementing Customer Campaigns / Programs and proven experience with Online Customer Acquisition
  • Experience of working to and achieving / exceeding targets and KPIs on a regular basis
  • Identifies shortcomings in current methods, systems and procedures, and gives input to improve
  • Key competence which describes you the best: Customer Focused
  • You’ll be the leading example for driving for results and at the same time managing complex customer programs
  • Fluent knowledge of English, spoken and written. Other language skills such as: Dutch, German and/or French; would be a distinct advantage
