Technical Manager ALPs

Zurich (Switzerland)

The overall responsibility is to lead all technical and solutions related aspects of the Go to Market Strategy and Execution in the ALPs Business Unit. This includes managing a team of Sales Engineers and Customer Service Managers in Switzerland and Austria.
Reporting Line: Business Unit Leader ALPs

The Responsibilities

  • Manages Sales Engineers and Customer Service Managers (pre and post sales)
  • Creates and executes plans that integrate TM’s technology and solutions into the Go to Market- and sales cycle strategy and activities
  • Identifies Industry and Technology trends. Assures input-/feedback loop with Global product organisations (local needs for Technology, products, features)
  • Positions Trend Micro as Thought Leader, peers with C-Level at customers and partners
  • Reviews and approves proposed development releases
  • Identifies, compares, selects and ensures implementation of technology solutions to meet current and future needs
  • Enables local BU team and local Partners to successfully position TM’s technological vision and solutions

You Are

  • Understanding of wider business beyond technology – experience in both small and large business
  • Successful in fast paced and quick changing environments
  • Open-minded, hands-on and receptive to ideas contributed by the team
  • Fluent in German and in English; French language skills are a plus

You Have

  • First experience in managing technical teams such as Sales Engineers and Customer Service Managers, preferably in the IT Security industry
  • Technical expertise in IT security products and solutions and ability to answer detailed technical questions if the need arises
  • Experience with software development and deep understanding of the Internet, its evolution and how it works under the skin
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding overall presentation skills to both large and small audiences
  • An ability to adapt communication style to audience (technologists and non-technologists) and specific situations
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
