UK NARIC is a national agency operating in the arena of skills, international qualifications, education and migration/mobility. Our national agency functions are not funded by the taxpayer and we resource their development by commercial revenue in related areas.
We seek a dynamic, intelligent, growth-orientated Business Development Manager to lead on the expansion of commercial opportunities and sales from a range of UK NARIC services:
- Corporate Bundles of UK NARIC qualification statements;
- Delegate places and exhibition/sponsorship packages across the portfolio of UK NARIC events (training services, seminars and the annual conference);
- Partnership agreements and consultancy services.
As Business Development Manager, you will motivate and manage a small operations and delivery team, and lead from the front the sales effort in this growing part of our business.
The successful candidate will expand the client base, generate new leads and opportunities, demonstrate an intelligent, consultative sales approach with clients, and develop our portfolio of services, training, and events.
We welcome candidates with experience from any kind of B2B consultative sales or business development background. Knowledge of exhibitions, conferences, events, training services, legal or compliance-based business services, higher education, professional bodies, or membership organisations – any of this might assist in this role – but it’s not essential.
UK NARIC operates from its own newly-refurbished office building in a good part of Cheltenham, with car parking, not far from the train station. Shops and services are nearby. There are staff kitchens with free tea/coffee, the atmosphere is friendly, the work has an interesting international dimension, and the UK NARIC team reflects that with more than a dozen countries represented and over 19 languages spoken.
