You will join no ordinary software business, my client is a market-leader in delivering Software as a Service solutions in the UK and beyond…
They pride themselves on the culture they have created and they work hard to ensure it is never compromised. It is a place where people want to work; where employees enjoy and develop in their roles; where people pull together to work as a team and ultimately, be a company everyone is proud to be a part of. My client is expanding globally at a fairly rapid pace.
What They Need From You
You will have a deep comprehension of technology in general with a background ideally in development, testing, design, delivery, support or the like. You will be an experienced Scrum Master who has worked across multiple teams within a medium to large organisation and preferably hold a certification in Scrum.
It is critical to that your approach to Agile is flexible around business needs. They will need you to have performed at least one implementation where you have fitted the method to the business rather than the business to the method.
You will have a background that enables you to communicate with the software engineering team, diving into some level of “technical” detail that help remove impediments and coach the team on problem solving regardless of whether its development, test, scope or a documentation issue.
They are not looking for dominant leaders. Rather, your approach to change will be from a servant leader approach monitoring, supporting and an encouragement perspective, providing tools and guidance only where there is a clear need coupled with a clear want. They will need you to be a sensitive communicator capable of balancing your knowledge against team and business capacity to find the right solution as opposed to pushing your own solution.
What You’ll Get From My Client
This is a critical role for and will receive full backing from the CTO, COO, VP of Engineering and the partners and coaches. While you will be part of an Agile community, the support you will get in carrying your duties through is second to none.
You’ll work with all key stakeholders to ensure the impetus and understanding needed to drive Agile adoption are present, holding workshops, steering and coaching sessions to educate or encourage where required.
