Service Manager/Operations Lead, DAS EMEA

ASSA ABLOY is the global leader in door opening solutions. It has a worldwide turnover of approx. 8bn Euros. The EMEA Division has sales of 2.0bn Euros and approximately 11,500 employees. The small EMEA headquarters team is based in London but the commercial and operational activities are managed through 11 Market Regions encompassing the whole of Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Purpose of the Job:

ASSA ABLOY Digital and Access Solutions (DAS) EMEA is running a hosting & Operations team to manage our customer facing applications.

This role is responsible for running the operations team’s daily activities and devolving their services to enable our regions to offer the solutions on the market.

You would also work on developing the service offering to strengthen the offering to our customers.

You would be in charge of the development and implementation of the necessary processes, tools, KPIs, models and routines to secure strong and sustainable recurring revenue growth of the service and hosting offering.

To be the centre of information and “the go to person” when it comes to hosting, services and setup.

We work in a global environment so you need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Implement design of Infrastructure architecture, migrations, integration and installation.
  • Responsible for SaaS Operational budget together with Operations Director.
  • Act as a final level of escalation for incidents.
  • Create RCA’s and Incident Reports to be send to stake holders
  • Assisting customers in the queries and transitions
  • Establishes Standard Operation Procedures and controls systems access and security.
  • Provides support to and trains users on new technologies.
  • Monitors service and Infrastructure stability.
  • Incident and Change Management Functions.
  • Auditing management and co-ordination, Audit Reports
  • SLA Management
  • Coordinates maintenance activities for Infrastructure and Application services.
  • Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation of Infrastructure and Process.
  • Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.

Education, Work Experience and Personal Qualities

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure management
  • Master or Postgraduate in Information Technology is useful.
  • Experience of working in a multicultural team and in an international environment would be useful.
  • ITIL knowledge / certification
  • Incident / change management skills
  • Good team player who understands the importance of meeting deadlines and who thrives in a busy, challenging environment.
  • Very strong Analytical Skills and the ability to determine the important details from the vast amount of information that will surround the role.
  • An excellent communicator who can explain sometimes complicated concepts to managers and others across the region.
  • Prepared to travel extensively within EMEA and occasionally outside of this geographic area.
