We are looking for an enthusiastic finance professional to join the newly established Global Financial Operations organization
Your responsibility will be to take lead on activities in Sweden, to co-ordinate accounting and reporting activities through business lines and functions to ensure Valmet Group policies and principles are applied consistently and that local statutory and tax compliance requirements are met.
As a Finance Manager, you organize and manage your own team of accounting professionals ensuring that high level expertise is in place to provide advice on accounting questions in the context of local accounting rules and IFRS, both short and long term.
On top of your responsibilities related to local requirements, you are also expected to support in development of Global processes and ensure alignment of local ways of working with the Global model, as follows:
- Engage external financial services providers and manage their work as needed and support in development of co-operation models with third parties at Global level
- Ensure data required to follow Global hedge and lease accounting rules is maintained in relevant systems, and support in development of related processes Globally
Additionally, you will responsible of effectively conducting change management when gaps in between requirements and practices or solutions are identified.
In your role you will work closely with the Business Finance and other internal stakeholder developing and keeping up good relationships with the different Business Lines as well as Corporate functions, both management and employees.
You have a Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, recognized accounting qualification, and can demonstrate a leadership track record (5+ years) gained in finance position. You are experienced in working with ERPs with integrated finance features, and master accounting and reporting processes, as well as related controls.
You have good understanding of IFRS standards as well as local accounting and tax rules. You are accustomed working under the pressure of tight reporting deadlines, can effectively prioritize activities and keep others positive and motivated. You have the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships and networks (internal and external) and use them effectively for the benefit of the company.
You possess effective communication skills and are comfortable presenting complex accounting and reporting topics in both English and Swedish. Competence in other languages is an advantage.
